Developed the Wayfinding Strategy for the Bellevue Arts Fair Weekend and contributed to the fair map, signage design, and museum exhibit through graphic design. I managed all the assets required for the fair and the wayfinding strategy, including contractors for other signage not depicted in the images. I also creative directed the exhibit and designed three of the five media elements related to the History of the Fair.
The Bellevue Arts Museum collaborated with EXP Events to revitalize this year’s Arts Fair by integrating the Bellevue Arts Market. This partnership led to the creation of the Bellevue Arts Fair Weekend, which showcased both Art Fairs simultaneously, making it the largest event footprint in the Fair’s history. Additionally, the Museum’s closing prompted the creation of the History of the Arts Fair Exhibit, which provided a glimpse into the fair’s past and expressed the Museum’s optimism about the future of the Art Fair despite its uncertain future.
The combination of the two Art Fairs produced a unique challenge in my Wayfinding task, being that although the two ran independently, the goal was to drive traffic to both sides of the event perimeters, while getting guests to walk through the mall. With strong visual assets initially developed by Lindsay Lush, I was able to design the Fair signage to be compelling and drive excitement to all guests and artists alike.
